Dynamo's season picking up steam
So, we're a month into Dynamo's 2010/2011 season. It started with a disappointing draw against Obolon Kyiv and continued with a pair of unconvincing 2:1 wins against Tavriya Symferopol and Metalist Kharkiv. A sad news
A very sad news today:
Vasiliy Yevseev, former Dynamo Kyiv player, one of the less famous but more reliable soldiers on the "Colonel"'s roster tragically died this morning. Cause of death is not being reported but he was known to be in excellent health and young of age (47). -
Dynamo are playing well
Dynamo are continuing very solid play. Gone are the times when faced with a grans of European football Dynamo would go into the deep defence, which still would not prevent their opposition from crashing Dynamo. Ukraine are still on path for WC2010
Many said we couldn't do it. We thought we couldn't do it. In the match against England, Ukraine had done the one thing that would allow it to remain on path for the WC2010 - win. Dynamo's season is in full throttle. Two huge news had dominated the early going:
- Dynamo have signed up a new coach in the Summer - Valery Gazzaev. Gazzaev had led CSKA Moskva to the 2005 UEFA Cup and is immensely popular in Russia. He changed the schemes Dynamo played to an interesting and more attack minded 4-2-3-1 (at times - 4-1-4-1)

Our hopes for WC2010 are dwindling
Yes, sure, Ukrainian National team isn't out yet. They're still in control of their own destiny... It's just that they will have to beat England, this hot new juggernaut that has blown through Croatia on its way to a 5-1 destruction of our main competitor. But, in truth, Ukraine were last night's biggest losers as they failed to defeat Belarus.
